Anna Maria Oyster Bar

It’s no coincidence that the word oyster is right there in their name. The Anna Maria Oyster Bar has multiple locations throughout the Bradenton Area but try the one on Historic Bridge Street Pier first. Here, you’ll find oysters of all variety: steamed, fried, raw, made into oyster sandwiches and more. It’s the place to go to get a little bit of everything. And after you eat, you can relax by fishing from the pier!

Beach House Restaurant

Looking for a classic oceanfront dinner? Look no further than The Beach House Restaurant on Anna Maria Island. The newly renovated restaurant serves up beautiful views of the beach and some of the most unique oysters in the area. Sit right on the beach and try their delicious oysters. Enjoy them chilled on the half shell or in their impressive single tiered Seafood Tower or two tiered Seafood Castle. If you’re a self-described foodie, these are the oysters for you!

Island Time Bar and Grill

Bridge Street’s other oyster spot is Island Time Bar and Grill. This laid-back bar serves oysters on the half shell chilled to perfection. Sit on their outdoor patio while sounds of karaoke fill the bar. Pair your oysters with a local craft beer from Motorworks Brewing or Darwin’s Brewing Company. Even better, it’s all just steps from the beach!

Star Fish Company

The crown jewel of Cortez and maybe the most authentic seafood restaurant in the Gulf, Star Fish Company knows a thing or two about oysters. Enjoy a heaping dish of oysters while you rub elbows with local fisherman and sailors. It’s a no-frills, cash-only place that’s part restaurant, part seafood market. The line is usually long but it’s always worth it!

Soma Creekside

For an oyster that you’ll only find in Florida, stop in at Bradenton’s Soma Creekside. Apalachicola oysters are only found in the Gulf and are considered a prized delicacy here in Florida. At Soma Creekside, they’re pan-fried and lightly dusted with cornmeal, giving the rare oysters an even richer flavor. Enjoy them with a side of Sri Racha mayo and Brussels slaw.

However you take your oysters, you’ll find somewhere relaxing to enjoy them! Click here to explore more of the fresh flavors and local flair of the Bradenton Area.
