Find Your Chi
Yoga is great way to unwind. But here, it’s got a different twist. On Anna Maria Island, enjoy yoga classes right on the beach. Nothing helps your yoga session more than the calm waves rolling onto the shore. Whether you’re a pro or a beginner, you can find a class for you at Island Yoga Space.
Long Jogs on the Beach
Are you a runner? Then you’ll have plenty of room to stretch your legs on the beaches of Anna Maria Island. The soft white shores will more than make up for being away from your hometown treadmill. Go early in the morning or late at night when the cool Gulf breezes are at their best.
Pedal to the Piers
Cruise around the island in style by renting a bike from Beach Bums. Not only is it a great way to get a workout in – it’s one of the best ways to see all of Anna Maria Island. Bike from pier to pier, seeing some of the best views in the area. Or take a bike tour through the scenic trails and boardwalks of Emerson Point Preserve to really connect with Florida nature.
Bump, Set, Spike
Beach volleyball is the unofficial official sport of Anna Maria Island. Get your team together and play at Manatee Beach, where the nets on the beach are always set up and the picnic tables nearby are perfect for breaks.
Put your fitness to the test by completing the fitness trail at Robinson Preserve. The six different stations of the fitness trail work your arms, legs and core with a variety of different workouts. The best part? You get to see all of the most picturesque views of Robinson Preserve along the way.
Get on Board
Paddleboarding, skimboarding, flyboarding – they’re all great ways to stay active on the beach. From finding your balance on a paddleboard to hours spent skimboarding, you’ll start to feel the burn. And we’re not talking about sunburns!
