1. Getting Here Is Easy
It’s easier than you think. Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) is located in the Bradenton Area and only fifteen minutes away from the beaches of Anna Maria Island. Not only that, it’s super easy to get through and you can expect friendly service every step of the way.
2. Getting Around Is a Breeze
Cool down while you get around by taking the free air-conditioned trolley on Anna Maria Island. The trolley travels the entire island and you won’t have to wait more than 10 minutes at a time for the trolley to arrive. After trolley hours end around 10 pm, take the Monkey Bus. The beach-themed ride gives you all the convenience you need for those late-night tiki trips.
3. Food for Thought
The Bradenton Area is full of great seafood restaurants. But that’s not the only kind of grub you’ll find here. Enjoy olive oils, breads, artisanal cheeses, an olive bar and more when you build your own picnic basket at the Olive Oil Outpost. Then take your basket with you on your trip to the beach! Or you can stay at home and have cupcakes, cookies and other treats delivered to your door from Retrobaked.
4. Rent (Almost) Anything
Don’t want to lug the stroller, high chair and crib through the airport? Don’t worry, you can rent them when you’re here. In fact, you can rent just about anything. Bikes, surfboards, paddleboards, golf carts, kayaks and more can be rented throughout the Bradenton Area. Some companies even offer grocery delivery service so the fridge will be stocked and ready for you when you arrive!
5. You’re Getting Warmer
And we mean that literally. It’s sunny in the Bradenton Area 361 days out of the year. That means, whenever you visit, be sure to pack plenty of sunscreen and beach-friendly clothes. Even in the middle of winter you can expect temperatures to be at or above 70°.
6. Have Any Questions?
The visitor centers have the answers you’re looking for when you’re here. Whether you need a map of local attractions or just need a recommendation for a good fish taco, they can help point you in the right direction. Even better, there’s plenty of visitor centers throughout the Bradenton Area.
