ALBION: THE ENCHANTED STALLION is an epic fantasy film in the vein of The Wizard of Oz meets Game of Thrones, for family audiences. It is the story of a young girl, Evie Flynn, who is saddled with the responsibility of caring for her disabled father until she is transported by a magical black stallion to the mystical world of ALBION. Here, she discovers that she alone is the key to saving an entire race of people.
ALBION has strong roots in the Bradenton Area. The lead character, Evie Flynn is played by local Bradenton teen, Avery Rath. Avery attended Blackburn Elementary in Ellenton, Braden River Middle School in Bradenton and currently attends Lakewood Ranch High School. Writer/Director Castille Landon attended Bradenton Academy and maintains residences in Terra Ceia and Beverly Hills. And ALBION’s production companies Sweet Tomato Films and VADAR Productions are both Bradenton based.
The Bradenton Area was kind enough to serve as the interior location doubles for Vermont. The location for Evie’s home scenes was provided by Kimmi Carrico and filmed in Palmetto. All of the interior barn scenes were filmed at the beautiful Champagne Stables in Palmetto. Dag Dia loved his stabling arrangements so much that he has taken up winter residency at Champagne Stables. He’ll be available for visits starting this fall. Champagne Stables also offers a complete award-winning equestrian program for beginner through advanced riders.
The production drew heavily on the capable local crew and the incredible hospitality of local Manatee businesses, with after-production fun to be found on Main Street in Bradenton.
