Gone fishin’ with friends

The Bradenton Area is home to many unique fishing opportunities for avid anglers and novices alike. If you and your friends bring your own fishing gear, there are many spots in Manatee County to catch some of the best gamefish Florida has to offer. Fish off the historic Anna Maria City Pier and test your skills against snook, grouper, redfish and more. Your friends left their poles at home? No problem! Experience all the Bradenton area waters have to offer with one of our many fantastic charter captains. Many local restaurants provide a hook-and-cook service. After a long day on the water, you can enjoy your fresh catch prepared by Bradenton’s best chefs.

Hangin’ with the Boys

When you and your friends need a break from the beach, head into the trees at Treeumph! Adventure Course. Adventure through Bradenton’s pine forests, climbing, ziplining, and swinging from tree to tree. Treeumph has 13 acres of challenging high-wire obstacles and terrain for you and your friends to traverse together. It’s really a way to explore nature like you have never experienced it before. Test your skills with the jaw-dropping Summit course, the most challenging Treeumph offers. Head into the clouds and traverse the cargo nets, floating logs, swings, and other exciting obstacles. Enjoy your reward at the end of your journey and take a ride with (or race!) your friend on the giant dual zipline that takes you one last time through the trees as you return to camp.

Happy Hour!

Enjoy some brews with the boys and experience the micro-brew scene at one of the six breweries in the Bradenton Area. Here you will find traditional style beer, including IPAs, pilsners, and stouts. Try some of the award-winning beer as you listen to live music and enjoy food from some of the best food trucks in Bradenton. If you have some non-beer drinking friends in your group, make a stop at the Loaded Canon, our local distillery or our two wineries. There is something here for everyone.

Take a Hike

Unplug from the outside world and discover the offbeaten path by running through the Bradenton Area’s nature preserves. But there’s plenty more to do there too, including kayaking, paddleboarding through the mangroves, and exploring the area’s three national estuaries. Explore the salt marshes of Robinson Preserve, a 600+ acre coastal preserve with bridges, boardwalks, and a 53-foot-tall observation tower with 360-degree views of the area and lower Tampa Bay.

If a break from civilization is what you and your friends are looking for, then look no further than Rye Preserve. Here you and the guys can camp and immerse yourselves in the Florida wilderness. Keep an eye out for gators, raccoons, bobcats, and even whitetail deer. No matter which preserve you choose, each is unique as the last, providing new views and natural beauty to explore.
