The Bradenton Area and Anna Maria Island were fortunate to have avoided the worst from Hurricane Ian. Our beaches and most businesses have reopened and they're ready to welcome visitors back to our community. Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport resumed full service on Sept. 30. Prior to visiting, be sure to check with your hotel or rental company to determine if the property is operating and they have room availability.
Some of our rural areas and our neighbors to the south did not fare as well. Our team at the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau are assisting local recovery efforts by helping with accommodations for National Guardsmen and first responders who are visiting in hard-hit areas to the east and south.
