Head just north of Bradenton and you’ll feel as if you’ve gone back in time. Palmetto and Parrish are untouched regions that tell the story of an old Florida that is so hard to find. From cottages dating back to the 1800’s to one of the last remaining antebellum plantations, this area tells a rich Florida history that is all but lost in the rest of the state. While visiting you won’t want to miss the lush Emerson Point Preserve or the Florida Railroad Museum. And all of this rich culture is nestled up against the shimmering Manatee River.
