Tyler’s Ice Cream

For over three decades, Tyler’s Ice Cream has been serving up old-fashioned ice cream, sundaes and other frozen treats to residents and visitors alike. What makes this place so popular with the locals is that their delicious ice cream is handmade in small, five-gallon batches. Tyler’s is located in the historic fishing village of Cortez, so grab a hand-dipped scoop (or their famous banana split!) and take a short walk to the Star Fish Company and watch the fishing boats unload their daily catch.

Corwin’s Ice Cream & Smoothies

Nestled along the historic Manatee River on the Bradenton Riverwalk, Corwin’s Ice Cream & Smoothies is the perfect spot to order a hand-dipped cone, milkshake or smoothie, and relax while taking in the beauty of downtown Bradenton. Corwin’s is named after Corwin Dock, a long wooden pier constructed in the early 1900s that ushered fishermen, supplies and visitors ashore and into the commercial hub of Old Main Street. Eat your sweet treat on the outdoor patio overlooking the marina and daydream about which yacht you’d like to sail down the river.

Shake Pit

A true Bradenton landmark! You’ll notice this place is reminiscent of a 1950s drive-up restaurant—because that’s exactly what it is! Although you won’t see classic cars or servers in roller skates, you’ll still feel that retro charm when ordering your cooked-to-order burger, crinkle-cut fries and hand-spun milkshake at the walkup window. Many locals have been coming to Shake Pit since they were kids, and they now bring their own kids. Have cash on hand, and trust us when we say to grab a spoon with your shake!
